Leon Draisaitl has officially cemented his name in hockey history as the latest player to win the Rocket Richard Trophy.
The Edmonton Oilers forward scored an incredible 52 goals, the highest in the league, locking in the Rocket Richard award as the regular season wrapped up.
Despite Edmonton facing long stretches without both Draisaitl and Connor McDavid, the German-born star remained unstoppable on the scoresheet.
Which is pretty CRAZY!

His goal count not only led the Oilers but also put him ahead of every player across the NHL.
No one came close by season’s end, not even William Nylander of the Toronto Maple Leafs who scored 45 goals.
Draisaitl ended the season with: 52 goals, 54 assists, totalling 106 points.
It marked his fourth consecutive season topping the 100-point threshold and the fourth time in his career he’s broken the 50-goal barrier.
Draisaitl was the only player in the entire league to hit the 50-goal mark this season.
Just last season, four skaters reached the half-century milestone.
The year before that?
Five, including Draisaitl himself.
With the regular season now in the books and Draisaitl’s Rocket locked in, all eyes shift to the playoffs.
The Oilers will be banking on their star sniper to keep his momentum rolling as they chase the Cup.
It’s great to win an individual trophy, but I want to win with the team—that’s what we’re here for
Draisaitl said postgame.
For now, though, Draisaitl’s Rocket win stands tall.
And for fans in Edmonton and back home in Germany, it’s a proud moment that’s already etched in NHL history.
